Ester Gum, CAS number 8050-31-5, E number E445, used as food thickener. Ester Gum is accepted as safe food thickener in many food products. Ester Gum is a wood rosin manufactured through chemical synthesis, available as Hard, yellow to pale amber-colored resin.

No side effects about ester gum reported. In rare case, ester gum can cause allergic reactions in specific groups of individuals.

Ingestion of Ester Gum in large quantity may hurt our health, please follow the guideline of using Ester Gum: ADI 0–25 mg/kg bw
