Tara gum, CAS number 39300-88-4,  E number E417, used as a natural food thickener and accepted as safe food food thickener in many food products. Tara gum manufactured through separating and grinding the endosperm of C. spinosaseeds, available as white to white-yellow odorless powder.

No significant side effects reported for this food thickener. Inhalation of tara gum powder can cause respiratory problem.

Suggested Dosage

As Tara Gum is widely known as safe, there is no limit on dosage of intake. However, we still recommend consumers to consult professionals before using large quantity of Tara Gum for long period.
