Caramel Color Side Effects

Caramel Color, CAS number 8028-89-5, E number E150(a-d), used as colouring agent and flavour enhancer, as safe food additive in many food products. Caramel Color is a water soluble food coloring manufactured through heat treatment of a variety of sugars, available as Dark brown black powder.

General Side Effects

Natural caramel color is regarded as safe while artificial caramel color is considered to be carcinogenic.

Suggested Dosage

As Caramel Color is widely known as safe, there is no limit on dosage of intake. However, we still recommend consumers to consult professionals before using large quantity of Caramel Color for long period.
